Al-Kuma- Feb. 19 – SAR
On Wednesday morning, February 19, the Sudanese Army’s warplanes launched three airstrikes on Al-Kuma city in North Darfur State.
Eyewitnesses, speaking to the Sudanese Alliance for Rights (SAR), reported that the airstrikes specifically targeted the city’s market, with several explosive barrels being dropped during the attack.
The strikes resulted in the death of a local resident, Adam Jibril Adam Basi, and caused extensive damage to several commercial shops and homes adjacent to the market, the eyewitnesses said.
The SAR notes that today’s airstrike marks the 102nd attack on Al-Kuma since the war broke out between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Residents of the city have described the ongoing attacks as deliberate targeting of civilians, with the repeated bombings causing widespread devastation across the city.
