Al-Kuma, February 25- SAR
On Monday, February 24, 2025, the Sudanese Army Air Force launched an airstrike on the city of Al-Kuma in North Darfur State.
Reports from the Sudanese Alliance for Rights (SAR) confirmed that the airstrike resulted in the destruction of both Al-Kuma locality’s headquarters and the home of the locality’s executive director.
The alliance also noted that this marked the 113th airstrike on the city since the conflict began.
Activists have condemned the ongoing airstrikes, describing them as “a deliberate targeting of civilians and an unprecedented massacre,” pointing out that the repeated Sudanese army raids have caused widespread destruction, with bodies scattered throughout the city, which remains trapped in a state of fear and sorrow.
Human rights advocates and observers have called the continued airstrikes a “full-fledged war crime” against civilians, amid growing calls for international intervention to impose a ban on the Sudanese air force
